Refund Policy

How refunds work for StorageRadar Direct purchases: the 14-day window, how to request a refund, and what happens to your license afterwards.

14-day refund window

If you purchased the Direct edition of StorageRadar through our website, you can request a full refund within 14 days of payment, no questions asked. Mac App Store purchases follow Apple's own refund process.

Refund window and eligibility

We want you to be comfortable with your purchase. Direct edition customers can request a full refund within 14 days of the original payment date for any reason.

Refund eligibility applies to Direct purchases made on storageradar.app via our payment processor. Mac App Store purchases are not covered by this policy; those follow Apple's own refund process (see below).

  • The 14-day window starts on the date the payment was successfully processed.
  • You do not need to provide a reason to request a refund within the window.
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method via our payment processor.

How to request a refund

Email [email protected] from the email address associated with the purchase. Include the order ID or receipt from your purchase confirmation if you have it handy; it speeds things up, but it is not strictly required.

We typically reply within two business days. Once the refund is approved, the actual reimbursement is initiated by our payment processor and arrives back in your account within roughly 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank and payment method.

What happens to your license

When a refund is processed, your StorageRadar Direct license is marked as revoked on our licensing server. The next time the app re-validates against our server (which happens approximately every 30 days), the license will be reported as no longer valid, and the Direct app will revert to the free tier.

Until that re-validation happens, the app may continue to behave as licensed because StorageRadar validates the Ed25519 signature offline. This is expected and not a defect.

If you no longer wish to use StorageRadar after a refund, please uninstall the Direct build from your /Applications folder.

Exceptions and edge cases

Most refund requests inside the 14-day window are approved without question. There are a few situations that we may handle differently:

  • Multiple refund requests from the same customer or payment account may be reviewed before approval. Repeated refund-and-rebuy cycles can be declined.
  • Refund requests outside the 14-day window are considered on a case-by-case basis, primarily where there is a technical defect we could not resolve. Contact support and we will work with you.
  • If your bank issues a chargeback rather than going through our refund process, the underlying license is still revoked and your refund is handled through the payment processor's chargeback flow.

App Store purchases

Refunds for the Mac App Store edition of StorageRadar are handled directly by Apple, not by us. This is because Apple, not StorageRadar, is the merchant of record for App Store transactions.

To request a refund for an App Store purchase, visit Apple's Report a Problem page at https://reportaproblem.apple.com/ and follow Apple's process. We can answer product questions but we cannot issue an App Store refund on Apple's behalf.
